School Council

Parental involvement is one of the most significant factors contributing to a child’s success in school. When parents are involved in their children’s education, the level of student achievement increases. Students attend school more regularly, they complete more homework assignments in a consistent manner, and demonstrate more positive attitudes toward school.

Empire Public School is committed to encouraging a partnership with parents and staff that will enhance the education of our students and foster increased sharing of information between the school and the community about the programs being offered in our schools. In order to facilitate these partnerships, Empire School forms a council of members each year.

The role of the Empire School Council is advisory in nature and works closely with the Empire staff to build mutual understanding and interaction. Our School Council has a major role in establishing partnerships with parents and the community for the improvement of student learning. The role of our School Council is meaningful and relevant to our school community.

As a group of involved parents, we become more knowledgeable about our children’s education. Participating in school council at Empire School is a rewarding experience for all those who value the opportunity to make a difference in their children’s education. Please consider joining us!

To inquire about becoming a member of our school council, please call Empire Public School at (905) 735-5764, or send us an email.
